cueva.cc

A one-page waitlist site, with the app's mascot alive on it.

The front door for CUEVA before launch. One page, one job, and one detail people remember.

The cueva.cc waitlist page. The CUEVA mascot peeks over a card that reads "How do they do that?" with a list of what the app teaches and a Join the waitlist button.

He is not a picture. He is watching you type.

He blinks and glances about. Leave him alone and he nods off. Type an address and he looks curious; make it a real one and he nods. Join, and he celebrates.

The cueva.cc page at phone width, with the mascot above the sign-up card.

A few details.

  • The same character

Every frame of him is drawn by the app's own code, so he is the same on the web as on the phone.

  • Nothing but the page

No analytics, no font service, no embeds. The browser is told to refuse anything else.

  • Shown before he loads

The page needs only his resting frame, about 6 KB. His movements arrive afterwards.
