CUEVA

A world of psychology, perception and the things you didn't notice.

It teaches how mind readers, memory performers and magicians really do it, and it opens like a film: a few seconds in, you are already learning to notice what other people miss.

  1. An animated cutaway of a building, every room full of people. The caption reads "Every room is full of signals."
    01

Every room is full of signals.

It opens like a film, not a form.

  2. People walk through an office past a picture on the wall. The caption reads "Most people walk right past them."

Three small clues, hidden in plain sight.

  3. The brain mascot in a suit asks, in a speech bubble, "Want to be the one who notices?"

Your guide steps in. It is a skill, not a gift.

    Curious. Observant. CUEVA.

The brain turns to gold as the name lands.

    Choose your first skill.

    You cannot get this wrong.

Your guide

He performs, explains and cheers you on.

Sixteen moods, all drawn in code, so he is the same character in the app, on its website and in its videos.

Animated in-house

He stars in his own films, too.

Marketing OS

A marketing operation, drawn as a space station.

I built it to run CUEVA's marketing. Seven coworkers, each a real automated job, plan the day, read the market and draft the work. Anything that needs me walks to my office.

The Marketing OS lab: a pixel-art space station of nine rooms. Research, Strategy and Analytics along the top; Creative, the owner's office and Studio in the middle; Review, Systems and a lounge along the bottom. Small coworkers work at their desks and two wait in the owner's office.
A capture of the real lab. Pick a room to see what its coworker actually does.

Research · Scout

Reads what people type into YouTube.

Every morning at five, and whenever I ask. It also looks up what people search for each film that is due out, and where CUEVA and the apps near it stand on the App Store.

NeverSigns in anywhere, or contacts anyone.

Strategy · Strategist

Turns what the scout found into ranked ideas.

It keeps the strongest two of each kind for me and sets the rest aside, each with its reason and a one-press undo. On Sundays it writes the week's review.

NeverDecides anything on my list.

Analytics · Analyst

Reads the channel and the numbers.

The public feed, YouTube's own analytics once connected, read-only, and the figures I enter by hand. What was measured is kept apart from what is guessed.

NeverCalls a difference between two films a result.

Creative · Writer

Drafts videos from CUEVA's own lessons.

Each draft is built from one lesson's hook and its graded claims, in the house style. When the critic flags a draft, the writer mends it.

NeverSays anything its lesson does not.

Your office · Me

The engine plans the day on the wall.

At six it writes the day's plan; at seven it reads the 30-day campaign against the records and hands out jobs. A coworker only walks in here with something due today.

NeverTicks, moves or deletes my tasks. Those are mine.

Studio · Producer

Checks that published films are really out.

It looks each one up at YouTube's public address and only marks it verified if YouTube answers.

NeverRenders, edits, uploads or publishes.

Review · Critic

Reads every draft against the written rules.

House style, the brand, and what a lesson can honestly claim. A finding goes back to the writer, not out into the world.

NeverChanges or approves anything.

Systems · Operator

Keeps the operation itself healthy.

It checks the schedule, failures and every public link CUEVA depends on. In a quiet hour it retries one safe failed job, at most three times.

NeverChanges a setting, a secret or the schedule.

Lounge · The cat

Nobody works here.

No coworker comes in. The cat sleeps on the sofa, and does no work at all.

NeverDoes anything.

A day, on its own

  1. 05:00The scout reads the market.
  2. 06:00The engine writes the day's plan.
  3. 07:00It reads the 30-day campaign and hands out jobs.
  4. 07:15Claude prepares what it can, on my Mac, only when I've switched it on.
  5. All dayAnything due today walks to my office. I say yes, or not.

Under the game

A working tool, with a plain list of what needs me.

Nothing is published, sent or spent without my yes. Every number says where it came from.

Inside Marketing OS

03 and 04 · Websites

And the websites.

The cueva.cc waitlist page: the CUEVA mascot peeks over a card that reads How do they do that?, above a sign-up field.

cueva.cc

CUEVA's waitlist, with the mascot alive on it. He watches you type, and falls asleep if you leave.

For you

Have an idea?I can build it.

How it goes

  1. 01

    Talk

You tell me the idea. I ask what it is for, who it is for and what done looks like, and write it back in plain words.

  2. 02

    Shape

I work out the experience and the approach, and show you the direction before it is all built.

  3. 03

    Build

I build in small pieces and share working versions as I go, so you are never left guessing.

  4. 04

    Refine

I test it on real screens, polish the details and hand it over with notes on how it runs.

About

I'm an independent developer. I enjoy the whole of it: working out what makes an idea interesting, designing how it should feel, building it, then refining the details until it feels right. CUEVA and Marketing OS are my own products, and the best way I know to show what I would bring to yours.
